I work with IB students who are somewhere between a rough idea and a half-finished Extended Essay. Most of my sessions are practical: narrowing the question, checking the argument, sorting out sources and making the structure less messy. I’m especially useful for students who have plenty to say but aren’t sure what belongs in the essay. I also review drafts closely before submission and flag places where the research question has started to wander.

I’ve guided IB Extended Essay students for nine years, mainly in English, history and social sciences. My style is calm and fairly direct. We look at the research question first, then the line of argument, then the evidence. I don’t rewrite essays for students, but I do ask the awkward questions that help them sharpen a draft and avoid vague analysis. I’m used to helping with supervisor comments, source choice and final presentation.

Hi, I tutor the IB Extended Essay and usually work with students who feel a bit stuck after choosing their topic. I’m good at turning a broad idea into something researchable, especially for psychology and global politics essays. Sessions are relaxed but focused. We normally leave with a short task list, so the essay moves forward between lessons rather than sitting untouched. I also help students prepare for the viva voce reflection.

I support IB Extended Essay students from the planning stage through to final polishing. My background is in academic research, so I pay close attention to methodology, citations and whether the argument actually answers the question. Students often come to me with science or environmental essays where the data is there, but the explanation needs tightening. I’m careful with wording around limitations and evaluation too.

I’m an IB Extended Essay tutor with a background in literature and academic writing. I like working with students early, before the essay becomes a stressful pile of notes. We spend time on the research question, paragraph order and how to keep the supervisor’s feedback useful. I’m also comfortable helping near the end when the writing needs trimming without losing the student’s voice. Literature EEs are my favourite to teach.
